Only 400mile to go

Benny Boy, nice story BUT and a big BUT. There were and still are many vans on that trip, 14 in total and only three had Subaru engines. YOU, HANS and GORD ! All the rest have VW engines. 1.6 Diesel, 1.9 TD, 2.0 AC, 1.9 & 2.1 waterboxer, 5 cyl Audi and VR6. NO ONE had any VW engine problems. See the _ZamoraBlog_ (http://poolio.net/zamorablog/) . So, yes you have more HP to pass, but as far as reliability goes I have to disagree with you. Personally I have over 525,000 km logged on my van and have never been stuck anywhere. Yes, it's the second engine which is a Boston Bob 2.1 Big Valve. And I too have one of Daryl's fine trannys. Rita & I are now in La Ticla, heading to Pasquero and Moreila next then to Puerto Escondido, maybe Palenque, Oxaca and North to Greensboro, NC for EveryBus. Just to set the record straight !!

Please note that I will be away from my business travelling in Mexico from November 19, 2007 until April 30, 2008. Parts orders will be processed although not as quickly as usual. I will always be available for contact by E-mail. If you phone your call will be addressed by Greg T. Brown here and he will either call you back or advise you to contact me directly by E-mail. Details of this adventure are at _Buses in Zamora_ (http://ca.groups.yahoo.com/group/Busesinzamora/) . A Travel Blog is at: _Zamora Blog_ (http://poolio.net/zamorablog/)

Cheers,

Frank Condelli
