Keep in mind that stainless steel lines rust --- takes a long time but it does happen. I found this out 2,000 km from home and it was inconvenient to say the least. The fix for me was flexible hydraulic hoses that replace the rusted out part of the stainless hoses (the bendy part that goes from the engine to underneath). So I still have stainless underneath the belly pan. I recently had the gas tank changed and before he dropped the tank my mechanic suggested that if there was any doubt about the remaining staninless steel coolant lines that he would replace them with PVC plumbing pipe from Home Depot --- something he apparently does routinely. My lines were OK -- but PVC is something to think about --- cheap and it isn't ever going to rust.

Cheers, Doug
