Sounds like the driver's door lock is stiff, so it never finishes opening,
and with the door open, can't finish closing.  I had this on my aftermarket
locks (well, it would never lock).  I unhooked the lock on the driver's
door, and it went away... It looked like the rod to the plastic plunger was
somehow catching on something.  I took it out, put it all back in and
everything's working OK now.
