I'm in Canada. I think it's possible that this "Transporter" was an
import from Germany.

Yah they aren't common around here either. But it's what I found for a
parts van at the time. It didn't run and appeared to be seized, but I
got it running.

I stripped almost *everything* off that puppy. The rockers near the
rear trailing arm where rusted through so the body was "on its' way
out". It was a cool van though. At one point I almost considered keep
it as a runner, but the rust was getting bad.
