Dennis, The good thing is your smart enough to know that going home instead of trying to make it is the only thing to do. I just drove the entire Jersey Tpk two weeks ago getting a 87 Westy from Maryland. Seems like the Jersey Pike takes forever to get from one end to the other. I also had to argue with one of the toll attendants along the way that you don't count the axles of the vehicle on the trailer. Only on the tires touching the ground.. As I slowed down it didn’t want to come out of 4th gear. When it did it let me know something was wrong. Feels like cracked 3-4 slider hub. I drove to next exit and decided I didn't need it leave me stranded in Florida so I milked it home. All gears still there but definitely something wrong going from 3rd to 4th. Gonna rest a few hours and then head down in the Benz. Dennis
