Subject: Carat rear springs and bearings
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Hi everyone. I'm a long time Vanagon guy/list lurker. I have a 1991 Carat that was making a noise from the right rear (bearing?) so I went to investigate and found a broken coil spring. I realize I need to investigate further but now, I also need to do rear springs so...does anyone know a source for Carat/Wolfsburg springs? All the ones I see at the usual vendors are for stock height passenger vans and I'd like to keep mine stock Carat height (slightly lower). And if anyone has any helpful hints on rear bearings I'd appreciate that too.

Thanks, Eric in Fryeburg, Maine 1991 Carat
