Jim,

On occasion I have also noticed that I have not been afforded the proper respect but individual ranging from automobilists through truckers and bikers (both hydrocarbon and human powered). Many years ago, I switched to the relay power approach and added a set of dual horns from an Audi 5000T. Had to remove them to get the external oil cooler anyway. Much more sophisticated tone.

I had previously "adjusted" the tone on my '67 bus, then the '78, but there was a submarine klaxon quality to the sound. This time I wanted something more refined. Several years ago, Alistair Bell and I exchanged notes about the Audi horn and I believe he has done something similar.
