With asking prices of 8-10K for 1.9TD it makes a great case, pun intended, for converting mine by an experienced mechanic.

I wouldn't put a 1.6 NA in my Westy.

Chris S,and other TDI, or NA Diesel aficionados;

Looking at the Samba today: 4 Diesel Vanagons posted for sale in the last 24 hours. They really don't make a good argument for Diesel conversion, more like heart-breaking basket cases. However if anyone wants to take the plunge they are each "BEST OFFER". Someone needs to rescue these Diesels. I already have my own potential basket case with 187,000 miles on my complete original WBX.

Good luck sellers and buyers;

Chris C 90MV
