I have a 1500 Watt air space heater siiting on the floor of my Transporter. It is connected to a power cord that makes it way out the front of the truck at the lower grill, protruding about ten inches. On evenings before exceptional cold mornings I plug it into a dedicated extension cord which is connected to a timer which is set to come on about twenty minutes before I leave for work. It presents a very comfortable cabin when the outside even when the temperature is below freezing. During the last freezing rain storm I came out just in time to see a big ice sheet sliding off the windshield. The wife said it took her twenty minutes to ice-pick the Golf. I was quite pleased. I just back out the driveway and the cord unplugs itself. I have plans of also connectiong a small battery booster to the circuit. When I get a round tuit. Ken Lewis http://neksiwel.20m.com/
