Subject: Attn: Air Cooled owners. Take a look. Gas tank stuff (pics)

Hi all.

Dropped my gas tank today. Yikes! (scroll down a bit):

http://tubaneil.googlepages.com/expansiontank

A lot of crud was piled up between the large OD corrugated warm air hose and the top of gas tank.

No need to panic I imagine, but air cooled owners who *haven't* done the gas tank thing, (replace seals/braided line to expansion tanks etc.) may want to consider getting to it. Even just to save their tank from rusting in that area.

Mine was starting to show surface rust. Not too bad as the crud was likely mostly grease/dirt, but depending on the conditions, I imagine it's possible that one may get more moisture up there.

Just thought I'd "throw it out there". --- :^)

Thanks,

Neil.
