And........EJ22 ~ ! right on. 
Very worthy of a good or new front trans mnt.
I'll look. 
Ken Wilford or maybe BD was offering quite expensive OE mounts or much less
expensive aftermarket ones I think.

Sorry! I mentioned manual transmission in the first post, but failed to
state that it is for a 2WD, 1988 Wolfsburg Vanagon, ej22.

...not that the Wolfsburg part makes a difference here.
