The heater hose is 5/8" hose that you can get from your FLAPS. Get the thicker wall sturdier stuff. I'd double check the archives, but I think 25' is enough, but I'm not sure if that length is for a Vanagon with only a front heater core. 30' wouldn't hurt. For that matter you could easily measure what is there.
