Thanks. The tranny will be out so filling should not be a problem. I do not know the history of this trans. As far as I know it is original to the van and the oil was last filled in 1986. My problem happened while push starting the van. I'm not 100% sure what I broke, but I'm assuming it is the TO bearing or clutch. When this happened last fall, I drove it 25 miles home and did not have any problems other than I had to match revs to shift. Prior to this happening, I have had absolutely no problems with the tranny. Once I get it out, is there anything I can check to give me an idea of the status of the infamous 3-4 slider?
