 Did you prep it with any lubricant or anything, or use any afterwards? I am worried about it getting stuck in the "open" position!

had the same problem a few years ago. Take off the knob (just a hard pull), take pair of pliers or a wrench and turn the stem a few times. After that it should work again with the knob. At least it worked for me :-)

I don't know how to get into the stove guts to fix it and I really don't feel like spending an exorbitant amount of money to an RV shop to have them fix it and mess up my almost-perfect cabinets in the process.
