Hi Clint, You said "easiest" so I thought I'd chime in with the suggestion to spend the $40 and get a pressure bleeder. Other folks on this list turned me on to this method and, man, is it easy - fill it up with new fluid, hook it up to your reservoir behind the dash, pump it to something like 10-12 psi, open up your slave bleeder valve with a length of tubing on it leading to a jug/jar...drink a beer...you're done. Be sure to do that last step, otherwise it won't work ;) (Motive model 0100 is the one I have and it works great) I also read that these pressure systems are easier than the vacuum systems on internal seals in the MC and Slave...but I cannot confirm that. -Ben > Date: Wed, 5 Mar 2008 17:46:26 -0800 > From: clint_kolda@YAHOO.COM > Subject: clutch bleeding > To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM > > What is the easiest way to bleed the clutch after replacing a slave cylinder? I have a manual brake bleeder which basically consists of a length of tubing a check valve. Will this work for the clutch or do I need a vacuum bleeder? > > Clint > '86 Weekender - Hopefully back on the road this weekend.... _________________________________________________________________ Climb to the top of the charts!
