No, not really, I don't really mind the inspections that much either, although I know the condition of my brakes, tires, lights, wipers and such. What I don't like is paying $20.00+ for someone to check them, someone who could tell a person they need new brakes when they don't in order to "sell" a brake job. I had a Virginia inspector fail my '73 Beetle when it was just over year old, for bad wheel bearings. He TOLD me he was going to fail it AFTER he scraped off the old sticker, because "it's a furrin' piece of sh*t". I took it to another station where it passed no problem (had to pay for two inspections, too). I reported the first inspector to the state police, who jumped right on it-yeah, right. Jeff |
