If a once sealed head suddenly starts leaking at a head nut, you have have to consider one of two things happened. The head cracked near the stud or the stud lost tension. You may get lucky and be able to remove the nut and reseal it but the loose of tension indicates the stud stretched and a future snapped stud is likely.

If you do the reseal thing you want to get a new nut. Clean the threads and use a lubrcant on the threads. I like Hylomar or a loc-tite sealant on the nut flange. If the nut does not tighten as it is being torqed down, stop. Remove the head and replace at least that stud befroe it snaps.
