Hey! You missed the entire point of my post! It is officially part of the test, but (as the test guy said) so few cars can be hooked up to the test equipment, it is frequently just skipped and "NA" entered in the computer. In my case, the fancy 20 minute evap system test was definitely skipped. Gas cap, that's a separate issue. As far as I can recall, they've ALWAYS tested the gas cap. The old '79 dodge van I drove for work failed once on a bad gas cap.
