Which goes a long way toward explaining why guys with oversized diesel pickups let their vehicles clatter and bang for many minutes after arriving in camp. And here I thought they were just jerks.*

========= * Since the same guys that drive the noisiest vehicles also tend be the ones who play their stupid stereos loudly enough to annoy everyone in earshot, there may be a high correlation between jerkiness and ownership of oversized diesel pickup trucks.
