Recall?

1. You can't win. 2. You can't break even. 3. You can't get out of the game.

No free lunch, no free energy with the possible exception of nuclear fusion...

Now if we could turn gobbledygook into cold fusion, now there's a REAL advancement.

Or, run on methane. Can be done but harvesting the methane from the feedlots is a 'dirty job'. Gotta put up with a lot of manure (read Bullsh*t) So you could run your car on 'Bullsh*t' or the chicken or pork equivalent. Just not that easy to do.

Maybe H2 is the answer, think of the savings to the jihadists if cars had nice big hydrogen tanks.

There is a pigfarm, here in the land of the free, that uses its lagoon of pig manure to produce power to run part of it's operation. Probing, in-depth, investigation of the details are left as an exercise for the curious reader.

In the end it is all cold grey sand. The best you can do is enjoy the ride, watch the clouds, sniff the wildflowers, amuse the fish, feed the birds, and avoid those poorly driven, guaranteed safety inspected, rice rockets.
