Ok.

I had a quick look at my Air cooled and WBX trannys in basement. (yes lucky me. Got two unknown spares.... ;)

On the '80 AC I get 26.2 and the '85 WBX close to 27mm past face of transaxle. I'm pretty sure they're the same length.

As for the KEP, I got 25.5 mm from face that meets Jetta block to face that meets face of transaxle.
