and folks, i know this from experience. years ago i used a regular jack from a 84 vanagon to jack up a carat to change a tire, and the jack didnt fit into the whole deep enough.. the jack point on the van BENT and the fiberglass sideskirt cracked, and the van fell to the ground.

good thing i was not under it.

this is a true story too.
