Good morning, I was headed up to Virginia from Asheville, NC yesterday when I saw smoke in the rear of the of my '89 automatic Westy. I pulled over and pulled everything from the rear to get to the engine compartment. I found out that the smoke was coming from the rear cabinet. I opened it up and flames. I went to get the fire extinguisher and the son of a bi$%# did not work. Thank goodness for Gatorade. It extinguished the fire right away. For some reason something shorted back there around the fuse box in the rear. The battery fried so I end up getting towed home. When I went to put in a new battery this morning, the radiator fan went on with out the key. Is the radiator attached in some way to the AC? What does the fuse panel in the closet control? I can't locate my Bentley to help me figure this out. Any info would be appreciated. Jamie Auch |
