Denis,

You mention using a lubricant on the threads. I thought that was not recommended for the head nuts as it would give a higher torque due to the loss for friction between the nut and stud. When I use ant seize, I always reduce the torque by 30%. I'm just about to put my engine back together and if the use a lubricant is recommended based on your experience (which is a lot more than mine BTW) then I will do that. I just don't want to mess this up. Thanks

"Clean the threads and use a lubricant on the threads. I like Hylomar or a loc-tite sealant on the nut flange. If the nut does not tighten as it is being torqed down, stop. Remove the head and replace at least that stud befroe it snaps."
