Unfortunately the Auto Zone OBDII checks will only tell you if there is a CEL and display a code.?? Even then there are many codes it will not display.?? To do the job properly on a tdi, it really needs the VAG COM diagnostic program.?? It costs about $200 and plugs into a laptop.????? The tdi's can have all sorts of niggling acceleration issues which dont throw up a CEL so a simple OBDII check doesn't help.???? If you go to Freds tdi club there is a good chance you can find a local tdi enthusiast who will certainly have a VAG COM or know someone who does.

The good news is that you should be able to find the problem relatively?
easily with an engine scan tool. If you go to Auto Zone they will check?
your codes for free and print you out a listing of them.?
That should help you find the problem. It could be any number of things?
but unless it is purely mechanical in nature it should generate a code?
and point you in the right direction that way.?
