Subject: How does powerwindow motor come out of the door?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Hi Gang,

During the last heavy rainstorm, something went kaput in my powerwindow motor on the driver's side. I traced the problem to the motor itself. No movement when I apply power. I found a replacement motor out of Golf which looks like it would fit. So now I unbolt the old motor assembly in the door and now have the motor hanging loose. I tried to twist it out but could to get it to turn enough to come out of the small opening. Now it's very close if I could only get another inch or two of horizontal movement. Before I twist too far and possibly break something, I though of asking y'all. Someone here must have done this before. I tried to do an archive search but could not locate something specific to the motor removal. Hurry my time is cheap right now. If I take too long, I'll get into my non-free time.

TIA, -- BenT

ps: can you believe "y'all" passes by the Google spellchecker?
