Konis are adjustable, which is useful on a Westy, since you need them
stiffer to start. (No one makes Westy/non-Westy specific shocks.)
Adjustability also helps over time, as the shocks wear.

I have also heard anecdotal evidence that getting the lifetime warranty
honored is MUCH easier with Koni than with Bilstein.
