Here''s a nice, quick and simple installation. I assume you have the round, magnetic antenna. I placed my antenna on the flat metal surface just aft of where the front face of the canvas top is. I ran the antenna wire down through the black plastic trim on the back of the driver's door opening, then under the carpeting to the facia plate for the heater and up to the dash to the control unit.

Have had no problems with reception, etc. Have had that antenna in that position for four years now.
