I not sure how this would happen but check the connecting at the
hazard. There is a single blue gray plug, and a larger plug. If the
single blue gray is discounted you will get the weirdness you are
describing. I forgot to connect this after installing my dash and the
blinkers did the exact same thing. It could be that the wire rubbed
the metal part of the dash? It's a tight fit.
