Subject:      Fixing rippled or shrunken cabinet molding

Some of the cabinet molding in my Westy has shrunken and some has rippled.
According to several messages in the archives from 1997 and 2000, the way to
fix rippled or shrunken cabinet molding is to carefully remove the molding
and immerse it in boiling water and then stretch it to the correct length.
It seems to me that I remember someone saying  to put it in an oven to heat
it but I could not find that particular message.  Has anyone tried the
boiling water procedure and did it work for a significant length of time?
Did you have to glue the molding back in place and if so, what type of glue
did you use?
