My '85 Westy's 1.9 engine runs really well. Starts easily, idles smoothly, gets 21 mpg at 63 mph, and doesn't drip anything. The trouble is, it now has 210,000 miles on it and burns about a quart of oil every 500 miles. I don't see any smoke but it would be difficult to see at highway speed. I do know, BTW, that the PO had overheated it several times which I'm sure did it no good. Anyway, I've already ordered a Boston Bob rebuilt 2.1 to replace it with. We go on long trips so I guess it is time to have fresh components. Mike Houlton, Maine
