I'm in the Vanagon+bicycle club as well. I bike commute around 90% of the year and mostly just use the van for trips. Most of the time I keep my van at my office and hop in there to clean up and put on work clothes in the morning. Having a portable and secure changing room is excellent. Plus, its nice to be able to just throw my bike in the van and go. There aren't too many vehicles out there that can hold several bikes upright and intact capable of more than 20mpg.
