Oh, so I got it entirely wrong. Now that doesn't happen very often! What is funny to me is that I got it backwards, i.e. you would have to get two to three pick-ups for one 85 GL. Coincidentally, we were just discussing the payload of a Syncro with the interior stripped for maximum room. I haul a ridiculous amount of 'stuff.' We own several rental properties and it seems I am always moving beds, furniture, appliances, etc. In short, I can haul lots more in my Syncro (The Mule) than I could with my extra-cab Tacoma. If you include what I can add by utilizing the roof, the difference becomes even greater. I sold the Tacoma.....(I know, get rid of the Toyota and keep the Vanagon? I'm crazy that way.) Miguel |
