It is widely recommended to clean up the threads on the head studs before putting the heads and cap nuts back on. So I am trying to do that with my 10x1.5 die and it seems to go on very hard. Thinking that I must had a bad die, I borrow a friends die and it goes on slightly better but it still seems to be quite tight and does not seem normal to me. Is this normal for these studs? Should I just lube them up and chase them with the die? Thanks Pascal '84 Westy
