Hi Kim,

True, but there are other advantages. My roofrack can also be used for
storage on the ground. Maybe not a big deal for most people, but with
fabric-skinned boats like I have the protection from roots and sharp
rocks is a good idea. It also comes apart and takes up very little space
when not in use. And it costs very little to build.
