My stock setup on my 1990 Westfalia has the bottom hose on the canister
venting to a grommeted hole in the frame. My diagram in the Bentley has the hose
going to the air filter box. I guess this was for the segment of the market
that  wanted don't ask/don't tell emissions systems!
