Wes, I've used it on that seam that runs across the front of the van behind the bumper. It's notorious for rust. It dries harder than the steel around it. You really need a grinder to smooth it down!

The big disadvantage to using it as a seam sealer is that it expands as it dries so unless you're careful it will bulge out a lot and as mentioned it's HARD. If I wanted to close the seams I'd use it and grind it down flat. It takes paint really well.

I plan to use it next time I do another seam.
