I just checked with our local VW shop and, using the Mitchell book, to do the clutch on a Syncro is 5.7 hrs, 5.2 hrs for 2wd, add 1 hr if A/C for both. The book states that this includes removing and installing engine. As you know, by reading this forum, if my memory serves me, most listmembers would remove the tranny instead. Of course these man hour figures are based on a fully equipped shop, so YMMV.......
