I sold my '90 Multivan to a friend who is 6'5". It didn't have a swivel seat, but he did grind two more slots in the tracks so the seat could slide an additional distance to the rear, which gave him more leg room.

Hi All, I have been thinking of removing the swivel plate under the drivers seat of my '84 Westy. I never swivel the drivers seat, and at 6'4", I could use a little extra room. I sit so high I can't read the display on my radio, and my legs hit the steering wheel getting in and out-how much lower does the seat sit with the swivel removed? I read a little about this in the archives, but would like to hear from other tall Westy owners who've done this-was it worth it? Thanks, Jeff |
