SD709 means 7 cylinders and 9 cubic inches of displacements(which means more
compressed refrigerant). SD 508 has 8 cu.in.

The 709 runs much more smoother than the 508 because of the added
cylinders.The 508 is very choppy and this choppiness is easily felt by the
driver.

BD has your best price. About $300 for a new one, and only buy a new one.
