Thanks for the suggestion, Scott. I plan to do a little more than that. Last time I had the engine dropped the liners were still pretty good.

Besides cylinder heads, no matter how good the cylinder liners are at 150k miles it may be a good idea to just replace them. I am not too sure about this though. If I replace them I may be tossing something I should not. I think the better bet is to replace them.

It is much more difficult to deal with the bottom block of course. I will see if I see any sign of need to tear it down. I am not experienced in dealing with the block or any block. I hope I do not need to do anything to it. I know I should not take chances. I will see when the engine is dropped.
