Subject:      Removing Driver Side Swivel

Hi All,
    I have been thinking of removing the swivel plate under the drivers seat of my '84 Westy. I never swivel the drivers seat, and at 6'4", I could use a little extra room. I sit so high I can't read the display on my radio, and my legs hit the steering wheel getting in and out-how much lower does the seat sit with the swivel removed? I read a little about this in the archives, but would like to hear from other tall Westy owners who've done this-was it worth it?  Thanks,   Jeff
