Actually AW's are damn special.
I think the stock interior layout totally sucks, but the aerodynamics, huge
interetior and extra quiet driving are fantastic.
If it wasn't in another country, I'd probably get it. It's not that big
a deal as I just tow vanagons with my 38 year old gasoline Mercedes benz tow
car, and I have about four 2.1 wxbr engines and some Subaru engines around
too. Getting it hauled from there to where I am would be about a grand or
possibly a little less. I sure don't' want to bother with the border and any
registration hassle though.
But they are fine, fine rigs. I have one I'll eventually have perfectly
dialed in, in every way, for sale.

I often wonder about the asking prices, this guy is (now) asking $3k
for something you have to hire a tow truck to take away.
If I have to get a tow truck it has to be damn special, a really
great buy or something I already own and need to get home (because
maybe the #3 rod went thru the case or the it ran dry and cooked
itself), or it doesn't run, hasn't sold and has to get towed to the
wrecking yard.
Maybe if he waits long enough someone will come along who thinks it's
damn special...
