I have a new Schadeck 26 mm oil pump that I dry fit in my 1.9. It goes in much easier than the OE one that I took out. My original one had some wear in one location where the top gear rubbed on the pump body. My understanding is that the pump body needs to fit tightly in the case opening so the oil galleys of the pump and the case fit tightly together. Anyone run into this before? Any suggestions? My concerns is that the new pump may not be much of an improvement over the old one if the galleys are not snug. Thanks Pascal '84 Westy
