I'd offer less to start, gotta smoke her out.  Or, ask her first to shoot
you a figure she may have in mind.
I've picked up cars for free by saying, "do you want to get rid of that
car?"  I picked up my recent 87 Westy GL in decent shape but a little rusty
w/ 87K miles for $600 and drove it home. It bluebooks for 12 times
that......
