It must be the same plastic 72-79 Bay tail light housings are made from. Any former Bay owners remember removing the tail lights and having them crumble? I'll never forget making an unscheduled stop at a junk yard in Maryland one day and spotting a '74 passenger bus in the yard. The tail light housings were NEW. Genuine VW, and must have just been replaced before the thing was junked. I didn't have the proper tools with me, but I managed to get those housings out! I also snagged the dual carbs. Jeff |
