Well, Loren, it was conceived around 1969 so any similarities to the Z-car is probably due to design fads of the era. Type 4 power just like aircooled Vanagons. I know this particular car. It was for sale in San Francisco a couple of years or so ago for less than half what this guy is asking now. It's been for sale on The Samba since last year with this new owner.

There was another for sale on Ebay not too long ago for about $12K.
