The easiest way to tell if the fridge is lit it to turn the water meter on
and the bottom green light will be on, only when it's lit. Just keep pumpin
and snappin until the green light comes on. It even comes on when you have
it in the electric mode. Like was mentioned before, preheat with elec. to
get the draft going in the flue then go for the gas mode. If you just filled
the gas tank then sometimes it takes a little while with your finger on the
pilot button, to clear the air out of the line before the gas gets to the
pilot lite.The orifice for the burner is so small it takes a while to purge
