Subject: Re: van flooring

Hi Joan & Tom!

This is Anna in Portland Or - the lady with ' 86 Blue Mongrel who is the humble recipient of the PIFF fund aid. And in early March the engine transplant went well. Running great so far!

Now, awhile ago I had to pull rug out of my van cuz my elderly Sheltie peed & puked on it . A friend in flooring biz gave me a couple rolls of vinyl remnants to use but they're butt ugly! So, after being inspired by your install, I called Costco to check inventory. Tonite I drove over to pick up 2 pkgs (so I can put some in kitchen, too) Cost was $11.39 each - and no sales tax in Oregon! I'd like to know if you had to use any glue to attach to sub floor? and if so what you or the list might recommend for gluing ? I don't have plywood there, it's old (maybe original?) carpet padding that's become as hard as wood! There's no "give" to it & man at Lowes said O could glue down vinyl - or do these sections even need gluing?! Have been enjoying the posts on alternatives and outfitting our beloved vans - see ya later . . . .

- Anna QS & Blue Mongrel
