The sprinter is a really great piece of vehicle. Expensive, but really, wonderful. We have family friends that have something like a baker's dozen children, and they chose to buy a massive passanger sprinter with every option and i am extremely impressed. Its taller than a schoolbus (Overhead AC UNIT) by it's got the massive windows of a skyscraper, the handling of reasonable sedan, and with it's diesel engine, they claim to get 30mpg! The creature comforts are nice as well, and i truely believe a 4wd camper version of this platform IS a modern equivalent to the vanagon style campers. Sure beats the Sportsmobile.....

UMMMM, Well you'll all be surprised to know I'm going today to visit the Sportsmobile factory in Austin, TX with my buddy Jean who made the appointment. We will see their camper conversion on a Sprinter chassis ! So..........."Sure beats the Sportsmobile....." means what ???????? Better check your facts before speaking out !!

BTW, Rita & I and Jean crossed from Mexico from Laredo, the last of the Zamora travellers. See the _ZamoraBlog_ (http://poolio.net/zamorablog/) for all the gory details. All back in the US or Canada and alive and none of us were eaten by the Mexicans !!!! NO, none, major breakdowns, well not exactly, Richard & Terry from BC had a dropped valve seat on their AC '81 Westy somewhere around Yuma on their way home. Last I head they had a new head installed and are back on the road !

Please note that I will be away from my business travelling in Mexico from November 19, 2007 until April 30, 2008. Parts orders will be processed although not as quickly as usual. I will always be available for contact by E-mail. If you phone your call will be addressed by Greg T. Brown here and he will either call you back or advise you to contact me directly by E-mail. Details of this adventure are at _Buses in Zamora_ (http://ca.groups.yahoo.com/group/Busesinzamora/) . A Travel Blog is at: _Zamora Blog_ (http://poolio.net/zamorablog/)

Cheers,
